چکیده
One of the important abilities that students need to master when learning mathematics is mathematical representation. This ability will improve students' understanding concepts, principles and procedures in solving problems. But reality, many have difficulty conveying their ideas solve problems this has an impact on research aims describe low representation factors caused this. The type used descriptive with a qualitative approach. Based research, it known 66.67% class X MIPA VII at SMA Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek exponential function These results show still due writing down question use incorrect settlement intuition.

Visual spatial representation in mathematical problem solving by deaf and hearing students.
This research examined the use of visual-spatial representation by deaf and hearing students while solving mathematical problems. The connection between spatial skills and success in mathematics performance has long been established in the literature. This study examined the distinction between visual-spatial "schematic" representations that encode the spatial relations described in a problem v...
متن کاملProblem representation and mathematical problem solving of students of varying math ability.
The purpose of this study was to examine differences in math problem solving among students with learning disabilities (LD, n = 25), low-achieving students (LA, n = 30), and average-achieving students (AA, n = 29). The primary interest was to analyze the processes students use to translate and integrate problem information while solving problems. Paraphrasing, visual representation, and problem...
متن کاملEnhancing Mathematical Problem Solving for Students with Disabilities
Approximately 5% of the school-age population experiences mathematics disability (Badian, 1983; Gross-Tsur, Manor, & Shalev, 1996; Kosc, 1974). Despite its prevalence, math disability has been the focus of less systematic study than has reading disability (cf. Rasanen & Ahonen, 1995). This relative neglect is unfortunate, because mathematics skill is important for school success and accounts fo...
متن کاملThe Effects of Assistive Technology on Increasing Capacity of Mathematical Problem Solving in Dyscalculia Students
Learning disability (LD) is common problem in present world. Teachers and parents seek the newest instructional methods always. In this research, LD students in particular dyscalculia students are considered at elementary level. Assistive technology (AT) as assistive tools are designed and constructed to help LD students. One of tools of AT is software. The aim of this study is to introduce...
